Thomas Waghorn. 1849 Letter written and signed by Thomas Waghorn, who established the overland mail route across Egypt. Written in London, the letter introduces "Mr Grieve, the celebrated scene painter of the theatres who is going to get up "The Overland Mail" in Regent St.".

Hannover. 1852 Illustrated lettersheet containing seven scenes from the fairy tale "The Song of the Goose", well hand coloured. Posted to Celle bearing 1851 1ggr (four large margins, sheet margin at left) on grey green cancelled by a pen stroke and a blue Hannover c.d.s, tied by a second datestamp. Secretary, Gibraltar", endorsed O.H.M.S and presumably carried by Naval bag, the contents concerning two licences for the export of tobacco; 1842 entire letter from H.M.S "Vanguard" in Malta Harbour with a curved "GIBRALTAR"...

1851 Entire letter to Genoa with a blue Gibraltar datestamp and "GIBRALTAR / SHIP LETTER" and 1854 entire to Malta with "GIBRALTAR / OC 28 1854 / SHIP LETTER", both fine. (2).
