Receiving Offices. 1857-58 Entire letters and covers with undated straight line receiving office handstamps with the London postal district on the second line, including scarce "SOUTHWARK BRANCH / S.E", "STEPNEY BRANCH / E", "PIMLICO BRANCH / S.W" and "OLD CAVENDISH ST BRANCH /W", etc, also single line "WESTERN D.O". These handstamps issued in 1857 when London was divided into postal districts. (12).
