1975 3c Lettercard unused with interleaving enclosed, or cancelled to order with differing datestamps (9), all handstamped "per m.v NIUANGA". An uncommon item of postal stationery, issued unannounced only a few weeks before the colony gained its independence and only on sale at Tarawa, Ocean Island and Funafuti. (10).

1895 (Dec 1) Mourning cover franked 2 1/2d from Camberley addressed to "Capt. C.H Blunt, Royal Artillery, British Expeditionary Force, Cape Coast Castle, West Africa" endorsed "Mansu", backstamped at Bagshot, London and Cape Coast. The cover has a royal crest and is initialled (AH?), possibly from a member of the royal family at Sandhurst. An unusual ingoing campaign cover.

1911 KGV 1a Carmine, upper left corner block of forty (8x5), horizontal gutter separating rows 4 and 5, each stamp overprinted "CANCELLED" (Samuel type 25), a few split perforations above the lower row and some buckling to the vertical perforations between columns 2/3 and 6/7, otherwise fine unmounted mint, a scarce and impressively large block from the printers archives. Also a single 1a with larger diagonal "CANCELLED" overprint. (41)....
