1885 (Oct 29) Registered cover to London franked by two examples of both the 1d carmine-rose and 1884 4d on 6d surcharge paying the double rate of 10d, the four stamps applied close to each corner, each tied by the "A12" numeral with a St Kitts c.d.s, red Registered London datestamp and oval framed "R" all on the front. An exceptional use of 4d provisional surcharge, apparently commercial and exhibition quality. Photo on Page 197.
