1852 Entire letter from Paris to New York with senders cachet on the front, privately carried to England and posted in London franked by embossed 1/- strip of three and a single, all cut square, the strip with three or four margins. Handstamped red "PAID" and rated "20". Faults to the flap and internal letter, otherwise fine. An unusual and attractive embossed issue 4/- rate franking. Photo on Page 12.

1857 Cover to USA bearing embossed 6d vertical pair, cut square and just cut into on most sides, cancelled by two "SHEFFIELD / 700" sideways duplexs.
