1845 Entire letter franked 1d from London to Warwick backstamped with the very unusual double ring handstamp "General / Post Office" with date "24th / March / 1845" in red and the standard MR 24 c.d.s (code R). This peculiar G.P.O datestamp only recorded on this one date; its purpose not known. Photo on Page 57.

1847 Cover franked 1d, sent within London, backstamped with the standard boxed datestamp in red and a peculiar small "GENERAL POST OFFICE" datestamp with the date "FEBRUARY / 20 / 1847" around the inner circle, the only recorded example, its purpose unknown. Photo on Page 57.
