AVIATION: 17 Old postcards with very good views of aviators and airplanes, some with defects, most of fine to VF quality, attractive lot. ATTENTION: please view ALL the photos of the lot, because all the cards have been scanned (both sides)

PLANE CRASH: Airmail cover sent from Accra (Gold Coast) to Marseille franked with 12p. The Air France plane crashed against a mountain in the Pyrenees on 23/MAR/1938, the crew and passengers were killed, and only part of the mail was recovered. Cover with signs of fire damage, with violet mark and several official seals of the French Post, excellent and very rare origin!

4/FE/1869 Manchester - Palermo (Italy): Folded cover (the surname of the addressee was cut out) with multicolor postage: 1p. dark carmine plate 90 + 1S. green plate 4 + 6p. violet plate 6 + 4p. orange plate 10, all with duplex cancel "Manchester - 498", red "PD" ovals (paid to destination), transit mark of Aachen (blue) and several manuscript inscriptions in red and blue pencil. LARGE POSTAGE: Airmail cover sent from Manchester to Argentina on 26/AP/1935 franked with 8S. and sent by Germany DLH. On back there is an arrival mark (numeral) of Buenos Aires, VF quality!

23/NO/1883 LONDON - ARGENTINA: folded letter franked by Sc.84 plate 18, cancelled LOMBARD ST. B.O. - E.C., with Buenos Aires arrival backstamp. It includes a printed leaflet with information on various products, very interesting, excellent quality!

Beautiful 10l. postal card with image printed on back of "Tatoi Palace", sent from Athens to Argentina on 10/OC/1901, excellent!

Registered cover sent from The Hague to Bolivia by Zeppelin on 21/MAR/1932 on the 2nd flight to South America of that year, with special handstamps and arrival backstamp of La Paz 13/AP, excellent quality, rare destination!

29/JA/1947 La Haya to Argentina, airmail cover franked with 4.17½G., very attractive!

RARE DESTINATION: Airmail cover sent from Agra to Argentina 4/NO/1939: First to Telén (La Pampa) and from there it was forwarded to Laza (Entre Ríos), with a nice censor label and on back the rare marks of TELEN (2/JA/1949) and LAZA (6/JA), very fine quality, rare!

VERY RARE DESTINATION: Postcard with view of market place franked by Sc.19 (20r. violet-gray of 1903) with small defect, sent to ARGENTINA on 8/SE/1913, with transit marks of Mozambique, Lourenço Marques and Funchal, and Buenos Aires arival, very rare!
