Syria, cover sent by "diplomatic pouch" from Damascus to Florida, USA, via Washington (cancel on 1/6/1956). SCARCE.
Lot #184 - syria
Syria, Red Crescent Cover sent by airmail from Damascus on 1/10/1956 to Central Agency for Prisoners of War in Geneve, Switzerland. In July 1956 the war was essentially between Israel and Egypt, but also on the Syrian border there were minor clashes, resulting in prisoners of war. This envelope is A RARE WITNESS.
