HISTORICAL CONTENT: GJ.1, 5c. red, franking an entire letter sent from Paraná (capital of the Argentine Confederation) to (Rincón de)Sarandí, in Esquina, Corrientes, on 30/SE/1859. The stamp is affixed with sealing wax and bears a "FRANCA" cancel in ogive along Paraná mark. The text of the letter is very interesting, about the rebelion of the province of Buenos Aires towards the Confederation ("he hablado... sobre mensuras..., pero sería...
