Redirection. 1907 Picture postcard from London to Edinburgh redirected to Crieff handstamped "REPOSTED MORE THAN ONE / CLEAR DAY AFTER DELIVERY / 131" with a boxed " 1/2" charge. A scarce explanatory handstamp, only used at Edinburgh.

Invalid stamps. 1906 Cover from London to passenger on the S.S "Magdalena" at Lisbon franked by a QV 2 1/2d postal stationery cut-out and a 1d revenue stamp embossed on white paper, the 2 1/2d stamp cancelled by a London E.C c.d.s, the embossed revenue disallowed and therefore uncancelled, both stamps then tied by a "T / C.68" handstamp applied on the London & Dover T.P.O. Compulsory Registration. 1861 Cover from Glasgow to Edinburgh marked "Registered" by the sender but only franked by a 2d blue, endorsed "Posted in common letter box" and handstamped red boxed "REGISTERED / AT / GLASGOW". Marked "Fine 6d", crossed out and increased to 1/-. A large closed tear at left, still a very presentable example of this very scarce 1/- charge. Newspaper Branch. 1877-1900 Wrappers (3) and a cover, an address label handstamped "Parliamentary Proceedings" charged 1/2d, a front and a piece, all with N.P.B charge mark including circular framed types and "above oz" handstamps, a scarce group. (7).

Postage Stamps used as dues. 1927 Covers from France to Walkerburn, Peebleshire, franked 1f50 both with 3d charge marks of the London Inland Section, the first with the charge collected by a 3d postage stamp (Nov. 9), the second with a 2d and two 1/2d postage due stamps (Nov. 17). Bisected Postage Due. 1921 1d Postcard from Hampstead, a 1d charge mark applied, collected with a diagonally bisected 2d postage due stamp tied by West Kensington c.d.s (Dec. 29). A few very minor stains, otherwise fine and rare, believed to be the only recorded 2d bisect at West Kensington on this day, although another 2d bisected is recorded on 2nd January 1922, and this office also bisected 2d dues on one occasion in June 1921. Postage Due stamps. 1956 Window envelope from London franked 1 1/2d with a 1d charge mark and diagonally bisected 2d postage due tied by a South Chard c.d.s (June 6). Also 1970-74 covers with combinations of differing due issues (one with 2d + 1/- + 10p dues), 1994 card with 1994 issue dues, and four P.O Training School covers bearing dues overprinted with bars. G.B Dues Used in Ireland. 1923 (March) Covers, one sent unpaid from Cork to Dublin charged 4d with G.B. 1/2d postage due block of eight tied by Dublin datestamps; the other from Monaghan to Lisburn bearing Irish overprint 1 1/2d and G.B 1/2d stamps, the G.B stamp disallowed and a 1d charge mark applied, the G.B 1/2d then cancelled upon arrival at Lisburn and the charge reduced to 1/2d with a 1/2d postage due applied.
