1839 (Oct 29) Three page printed pamphlet "The Plan For A Uniform Penny Postage Considered", the text being a copy of a letter from John Gladstone (MP, father of William Ewart Gladstone) written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. A rare pamphlet, printed by Wm. Bennett of Montrose. The first example we have seen of this pamphlet; we can trace just one other example, in the National Library of Scotland.
