Dateline on folded letter addressed to Harvey Baldwin in Hudson, Ohio, letter written by Reverend Claudius Buchanan Andrews who was stationed in Kaluaaha, with pencil "To be forwarded by the first opportunity" senders endorsement, entered the U.S. mails with red "Boston, Mass., May 25" cds and matching "Ship" and "12" rate handstamps, with lengthy letter describing the island and...

Complete blue cds (273.01) on cover to Napa City, Cal., with additional red Honolulu, Hawaii, May 18 cds (235.12), with original enclosure; stamp and corner removed, Fine, a rare Honolulu postmark in blue, known used almost exclusively on registered mail.

Hawaii, (Oahu) Peninsula, Oahu, Apr 3, 1900. Three complete strikes of purple duplex postmark (MH 255.9a1, 1RR) tying 1899, 1¢ dark green, vertical strip of 4 on cover to the Auditor General in Honolulu; cover significantly reduced at left, otherwise Very Fine, attractive double rate usage.
