Clear to mostly large margins, small scissor cut between at bottom, tied by "Davisville, R.I., Nov 17" cds on cover to Batley Carr, England, red London entry cds, forwarded to Dewsbury with Batley Carr postmark and receiving backstamp; cover with light wear and small spindle hole, F.-V.F.

1857, 1¢ blue, type II. Plate 2. Tied by grid handstamp paying carrier fee on cover to Danville, Pa., in combination with 1857, 3¢ rose, type I, tied by "Philadelphia, Pa., Aug 6" cds; 3¢with tiny corner creases and scissor separated trimming perfs at top, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce combination, with 2015 P.F. certificate.

Reference balance of over 105 covers; nice array of townmarks, includes a group of partial captured imprints and 7 covers with stamps plated from the top row of plate 20, other items plated, double rate usages, couple interesting cancellers, etc.; condition varies.

Attractive well centered pair, tied by "New Orleans, La., May 4, 1859" cds on folded letter sheet to Barcelona, Spain, endorsed via England with red "New - York, Br. Pkt., May 11" exchange cds, bold "8.R.s" inland rate handstamp, reverse with red London transit and receiving cds's, Very Fine and choice.
