SIRIA. 1858 (May 25). Cover from London to Aleppo franked by 1856 6d. lilac horizontal pair tied by numeral ´21´ obliterators. Carried via Calais, French P.O. in Alexandria (June 6) and Beyrout (June 10), struck on arrival with scarce ´POSTE FRANCAISE / D´ALEP´ in blue. A fine and attractive cover. SG 70.
