1900 and 1906 Covers handstamped oval framed "EXPRESS" and boxed "LATE FEE / PAID", the 1900 cover from Glasgow to Edinburgh franked 1/2d + 4d; the 1906 cover from Edinburgh to Southport franked KEVII 1 1/2d + 6d. Two fine and unusual express covers with late fees paid. (2).

1907 Cover from Reigate to London endorsed "Express delivery on Sunday", franked 6d + four 1d stamps and bearing a red Post Office Express label. A fine example of the extra 6d charged on a Sunday.

Returned. 1804-43 Entire letters (4), fronts or part letters (5) with superb "RETURND - FROM / BRIGHTON" on 1804 entire letter, similar handstamps for Ipswich, Woodbridge and Colchester (front), boxed "RETURND / FROM BATH" on part cover, "RETURNED FROM" of London (3, two types), also a free front with superb "NOT NEAR / DEVIZES". Posted Under Cover. 1866 Stampless cover addressed to "Her Majesty Victoria, Queen of England" handstamped "POSTED AT (Norfolk, U.S) UNDER / COVER TO THE POSTMASTER OF (London)", a second inverted strike above, charged 1/-, with two London datestamps. A few opening tears at upper edge, otherwise fine and a remarkable use of this rare handstamp on a cover to the Queen. Was the 1/- charge collected upon delivery? Photo on Page 28.
