"Joyas Filatélicas de la República Argentina 1862-1867", 337 pages, fantastic book recently published, author Pablo Reim, editor Guillermo Jalil. Excellent work with illustrations in full color of the great pieces and letters of the "Escuditos" and "Rivadavias" issues. It also includes other very interesting chapters: Pre-stamp mail postal marks, cancels applied on classic issues, and a short but attractive introduction to Argentine...

GJ.9A, 4Rs. chocolate, oily impression, fantastic example with some nice printing varieties: White spot at top left, "COROEOS", apostrophe at right of "OS", "AIREA" instead of AIRES, left face value joined to the bottom left circle by white line, etc. With some small defects but of excellent appearance! LETTERS WATERMARK AND RARE MIXED POSTAGE: Fragment of a folded cover franked with a "Cabecita" of 2P. blue WITH WATERMARK Lacroix Freres (GJ.22d) + "Escudito" of 5c. without accent (GJ.10), with cancel of Buenos Aires 9/JUN/1863, very fine quality, very rare mixed postage and the ONLY ONE of the 8 known items with the "Cabecita" with watermark!

GJ.7, dark blue, with PARTIAL DOUBLE IMPRESSION variety (left side), tiny thin on back (almost invisible and insignificant), very nice, rare!

GJ.2, 10c. green, with VARIETY: "With glasses over the eyes and dot inside the 0 of 10", along a normal example for comparison, VF!

GJ.4, 5c. red large figures, wide margins, used with cancel of Rosario, very fine quality, signed on back by Alberto Solari

GJ.7a, 5c. rose, with VARIETIES: "8 cut angles and 2 dots over the U" (position 18), excellent!
