U.S. & Worldwide Stamps With 1840 lots, our February 21-23, 2012 sale represents an impressive gathering of rare stamps and covers of United States, Asia, Europe, British Commonwealth and South America, with properties of various owners and estates. Highlights from the United States include rarities of Postal Stationery cataloguing up to $50,000. From Albania, there is an extensive offering of first issue varieties from the Lef Nosi collection. China features excellent Taiwan and a good section of PRC. Germany includes extensive WWII Occupation issues; Great Britain and British Colonies section is highlighted by the 10sh Edward unused I.R. Official (cataloguing £120,000). From Italian States, there is an unused example, one of the best extant, of the Provisional Government iconic 3 Lire (catalogue value $300,000), as well as rare Italian Colonies.
