First sale in a series of 3 offering pieces from a beautiful collection of Argentine stamps now being broken up, full or rarities and fine items, generally of outstanding quality. This collection was built over several decades by a dedicated collector who managed to assemble a notable group of rare stamps that are seldom seen on the market. All lots have very low starting prices, between 50% and 60% of their real value. A great opportunity to acquire material that is rarely available in a lifetime!

Cover (EP 12c. - VK 5) sent in November 1892 from Buenos Aires to Milano, with a declared value of 4300 Francs, franked with 7.32 Pesos, with 10c. Avellaneda (GJ.110), 12c. Alberdi (GJ.129), 2x 1 peso San Martín (GJ.115) and 5 pesos Lamadrid (GJ.116). The stamps of 12c. Alberdi and 1P. San Martín (top one) fell off in the past and similar examples have been affixed, only to show the original franking. Very few covers franked by the 5P....
