Enclosed is our current auction catalog, it is our first auction catalog that utilizes a live online bidding feature. The Auction:
Great Britain with strength in rarer 19th Century and key items, values to the £5.
British Oceania is strong in high value Australian Kangaroos to the £2 (several!). Fiji has £1 high values.
British West Indies is where Antigua features the rare 2½ red brown #9 (SG 19). Bahamas shows a wide range of classic issues while British Honduras has all the £1 high values. Cayman Islands includes K Edward VII 2½ on 4d and Falkland Islands has the “Centenary” set complete.
British Africa is strongly represented, as usual, with Bechuanaland and an unusual range of the difficult used K George V high value “Sea Horses”. Cape of Good Hope features a very rare SG #1 mint, the 1/- yellow-green, 4d “Wood Blocks” and the rare ½d mint Crown CC provisional #39 (SG 46) – the key to the provisional issues. East Africa & Uganda has a 50R mint K Edward VII, Egypt has the “Port Fouad” set while Gambia has a range of 9 imperf cameos. Madagascar weights in with 13 different large stamps and Rhodesia shows values to the £10.
British Europe features Cypress virtually complete to the £5, Gibraltar has the £5 mint and a rarer still used example. Malta includes the rare 10/- K George V.
