1840 (May 26) Envelope sent within London with 1d black pl.1a DE, just touched at foot else good margins tied to backflap by crisp red MC, with red further red MC where the stamp should have been placed as well as a "2" postage due handstamp due to the stamp not being noticed by the clerk, with clear despatch backstamp on left flap (opened for display), stamp with crease and some splitting and reinforcement to edges, full of character (SG £2'000)
