1949 (Jul 30) East Szechuan Ilung double registered to Chungking Chinese style cover,f.w. SYS Silver Yuan ovpt. Ilung stamps x 2 and SYS Silver Yuan x 2, totally 28c Silver Yuan, matching domestic registered postage, tied by East Szechuan Ilung cds. The cover arrived in Chungking on (Aug 6), but was redirected to Canton on (Aug 8) due to a misunderstanding by the post office, which believed the Supreme Court had relocated to Canton. After...

1949 (Aug 1) Canton to Hong Kong Chinese style cover,f.w. SYS Silver Yuan 4c x 1, tied by Canton cds. 1949 (Aug 1) was the first day of a postage rate increase (from 4¢ to 5¢), but this cover was still accepted and dispatched by the post office despite the insufficient franking.

Genuine Chengtu overprints only exist from the second overprint series after 1949 (Nov 24). These ovpt. stamps in question is a fabricated overprint created post-era.
