ARGENTINA. 1875. BUENOS AIRES a GÉNOVA (Italia). Circulada con sello argentino de 10 cts. verde y sellos británicos de 1 p. rojo, 3 p. rosa y 1 sh. verde. Excepcional combinación de franqueo, normalmente las cartas dirigidas a Italia van por el correo francés, esta es la primera que vemos con sellos británicos. PRECIOSA.

Front shows two red oval BOLLO/INSUFFICIENTE handstamps, red VIA DI CHIASSO transit, two red AUTRICHE/BAU FR DE BALE French entry markins, plus 20 decime postage due handstamp. A scarce and interesting first issue cover. (Sc. 3, 5).

Passau half-round arrival on reverse alongside six red wax seals. Minor ageing but a very rare cover. Certificate FERCHENBAUER.

Entire letter from VIENNA to RIO DE JANEIRO sent unpaid via France, struck with VIENNA despatch cds in brown and 8 charge mark, framed Convention marking F/21 in black (Van Der Linden fig. 1142) on front. Taxed on arrival 280 in blue crayon, deleted and changed to 430 reis. RARE destination at this time.

Cover from TRIEST to ROME with rare 16 kreuzer rate paid by 1867 2kr. yellow in a horizontal strip of three and a single 10kr. blue tied by oval TRIEST datestamps in black and by pen cross denoting full prepayment. Reverse with Venice transit and Rome arrival (7/9). A scarce cover. Certificate FERCHENBAUER.

Three red wax seals on reverse and arrival cds´s on back and front of an exceptionally attractive cover. Signed Ferchenbauer.
