c.1910s Huang Xing portrait postcard,depicting the revolutionary leader Huang Xing (黃興) in formal Western attire within an oval frame, captioned “Wong Hing.” A Japanese-made lithographed postcard issued circa early Republic period, finely printed and commemorating one of the founding figures of the 1911 Revolution.

c.1910s a pair of portrait postcards depicting Yu You-ren (于右任),both showing half-length portraits printed in monochrome tone, one bearing Japanese PO in China stamps used to Belgium. Early commemorative portrait issues of the renowned calligrapher and statesman of the early Republic, finely produced and of strong period character.

約1910年代於右任肖像明信片兩枚，均示其半身像單色印製，其中一片貼日本客郵票實寄比利時。為民國初期著名書法家兼政治人物之早期肖像紀念明信片，印製精良，具時代特色與收藏價值。

Formal portrait of Yuan in full military dress uniform with feathered plumed helmet, orders and decorations visible. Printed “CARTE POSTALE / TAISHODO HANKOW” on reverse with Japanese “はがき” inscription. A striking portrait of the first President of the Republic of China, produced during his presidency. Very Fine and scarce.

Lec Tientsin, with French manuscript message on reverse. With image of an affixed 1 cent Imperial Chinese postage stamp at lower left. A fine and striking early portrait of Yuan Shikai.

Addressed to Tonkin (Vietnam) with Chinese message. A rare early usage of Yuan Shih-kai portrait postcard.
