1858, WARSZAWA 8/8 c.d.s. in red on folded envelope with content, red FRANCO and red crayon “21” alongside, on reverse transit mark WIEN 10/8 and arrival mark of austrian Levant CONSTANTINOPLE 13/8. In three days from Vienna to Constantinople the only possible route is via Semlin and DDSG to Galatz Romania and Austrian Lloyd black sea to Turkey.
