Bold cds with matching "Paid 10" on adversity cover made from an unused printed slave document indicating "No. of male slaves" and "No. of female slaves", addressed to Oconee, Ga. at "14th Station Central R.R."; some sealed cover tears at left, otherwise Very Fine, a rare adversity cover made from a slave related form.

Confederacy, Atlanta, Ga., 1861, 10¢ black. Provisional handstamp on cover to Whitmell, Va., with "Atlanta, Ga., Aug 12, 1861" cds, enclosure from October which appears to be from original correspondence with some interesting content; file folds and slight soiling, F.-V.F.

Blue "Paid" in circle & matching "5" rate handstamped postmaster provisionals with control on top back flap, blue "Columbia, S.C., July 9" (1861) cds on cover with embossed Yarns & Kerseys corner card, addressed to Gainesville, Florida, expertly repaired flap tears including one through the control mark, Very Fine and choice appearance, the only known example...

Position 6, huge side margins and full to clear at top and bottom, tied by well-struck "New Orleans La., Dec 10" (1861) cds on cover to Tallahassee Fla., left edge of cover reduced with a portion added at upper left, otherwise Very Fine, an attractive third printing usage, ex-Skinner.
