CABO VERDE. 1860 (Nov 9). Mourning envelope to LEICESTER (UK) with superb strike of extremely rare Paquebot datestamp in black ILES DU CAP VERT/BEARN (Salles 1013). Struck with oval FR./2F 20c Accountancy marking in black; London and Leicester cds´s on reverse (Nov 22) and charged 8d. due in manuscript. A rare marking (Salles ´Pièce d´amatuer´) and a most unusual usage of this marking addressed to the UK.
