1943 'Safe Hand' Cover from the Pay Office (HMNZS) Tasman to "The Commanding Officer/H.M.S. Viti" with 'SECRET' and SAFE HAND' handstamps on face. Safe Hand covers are very rare and were only sent, via diplomatic pouches, with Government permission. Includes some notes on the Viti. [The HMFS Viti was originally the Governor's ship and was converted to war duties soon after the outbreak of war.]
