1852, 3¢ dull red, type I. Black company frank (LAN-008) on non-government envelope addressed to Downieville, franked with 1851, 3¢ dull red pre-canceled by S. W. Langton signature, Very Fine, only two examples of a Langton pre-cancel are known and only three examples of a Langton frank applied to a non-government envelope are known to collectors, used from Langton base city at Downieville for local delivery.
