Yvert 1/5, 1927 "Testart" issue, complete set of 5 values on a cover sent from Santiago to Talcahuano on 22/SE/1927 , flown by Cia. de Aeronavegación Comercial to Valparaiso on the "El Condor" airplane (pilot Aquiles García), with arrival backstamp of 23/SE, excellent quality!

Circa 1800: Front of folded cover sent to Valdivia, with 2-line mark "CONCEPCION DE CHILE", excellent quality!

14/JA/1871 Santiago to Copiapó, cover franked with 15c. (Sc.17 x3), excellent quality!

31/MAY/1877 Valparaiso to San Juan (Argentina), folded cover franked with 10c. (Sc.18), excellent quality!

23/OC/1886 Andes to San Juan (Argentina), registered cover franked with 20c. (Sc.31), transit backstamp of Mendoza and arrival of 29/OC, VF and interesting!

18/JUL/1929 Santiago to Mendoza, cover flown on the first flight of Cia. General Aeropostal, pilot Jean Mermoz, with arrival backstamp, excellent quality. Covers from this stage are rare, most of the mail from this flight was carried to Buenos Aires!

Official and diplomatic mail: 11 Covers used between 1932 and 1940, all with postal franchise, several different marks, very interesting, in general of very fine quality! ATTENTION: Please view ALL the photos of the lot, because all the content has been scanned (both sides)

PLANE CRASH: Airmail cover sent from Valparaiso to Uruguay on 15/JUL/1932, it was flown on the PANAGRA "San José" 3-engine airplane that crashed near the Incan Bridge (Mendoza), it was only found on 23/MAR/1934!! In this accident 3 members of the crew and 6 passengers lost their lives, very interesting!

14/AP/1935 IQUIQUE to Lima (Peru), registered airmail cover with large postage of $67.20 combining different issues, carried by LAN to Arica, and from there to Tacna to be flown by Cia Faucett, on back there is a transit mark of Arica 14/AP and Lima arrival 15/AP, excellent quality, fantastic!

14/MAY/1937 Santiago to Buenos Aires, Air France flight commemorating the 7th anniversary of the first commercial crossing by Mermoz of the South Atlantic, with special violet handstamp (very scarce!), on back arrival marks of 16/MAY, VF!

RARE DESTINATION: Postcard sent from Shanghai to Argentina on 11/JA/1916 franked with USA stamps (2c.) and cancelled "SHANGHAI CHINA - U.S. POSTAL AGENCY", excellent quality!

Registered airmail cover (to Hong Kong) sent from Chungking to Argentina franked with $1.50, violet handstamp "NOT OPENED BY CENSOR" and on back transit mark of Hong Kong 20/JUN/1941, excellent quality!
