Iran Persia, Registered cover sent from the general Inspector & the Head of Customs in Meched (Personal label seal on back) on 7/4/1906 to Switzerland via Houdan and Moudon. Franked for 26ch with 2ch, 3ch (pair) and 9ch pair with large 9 type 1 handstamp and one stamp showing split handstamp. Russian disinfection handstamp in violet. M. Sadri photo-expertise. NICE AND RARE.

Iran Persia, parcel post document franked with 10ch pair coronation issue, overprinted "COLIS POSTAUX". Sent from Teheran on 22/12/1915 to Barfrouch, where arrived on 3/1/1916. Extremely rare stamps used on postal document.

Iran Persia, incoming cover from Lancaster 16/5/1920, England, addressed to the Imperial Bank of Persia in Kazvin, arrived in Recht, where opened and resealed by paper tape with the "Jangali" Bolshevik rebels handstamp reading in Farsi "Post-e Dowlat-e jomhoori-e Shoravi-e Iran" (Soviet Republic of Iran Post). Afterwards routed to Teheran, in Kazvin transit on 20/8/1920 was censored with round Gouvernament seal and the rebels censor...

Levant Lebanon, Venetian mail written in "Beruti" on 19 December 1489 and sent to "Hillustrissimo et generoso Jmarco Palino urbano per muro qarto Tripoli" (Illustrious and generous Jean Marc Palino, to the fourth city wall in Tripoli). The letter has small holes due to the time. Fascinating and rare letter than five hundred years old.

Levant Syria, letter sent from Jacob Ribero Henriquez & figli in Aleppo, dated 28/10/1738, to Nicolo Caragiani in Venezia. The commercial letter, written in Italian, arrived in Venezia on 26/2/1739 four months after. Charming and RARE early letter sent to Europe, after over two hundred years the Ottoman occupation that had resulted in the almost complete closure of the commercial traffics.

Levant Syria, Italian letter sent from Antakia on 24/1/1849 and addressed to the Sardinian consul in Alep by the Tartar post. Written by an Italian missionary in Antakia with interesting content of a historical nature concerning the illness of King Carlo Alberto after the defeat and policy positions of Pope Pius IX. SCARCE EARLY MAIL FROM ANTAKIA.

Levant Palestine, prepaid cover sent from Jerusalem on 15/1/1851 to London via Triest. Transported by ship to Corfu was sent by British postal office on 7/2/1851 to Triest by Austrian Lloyd company. Arrived in London on 14/2/1851. Very high prepaid of 50 Kreuzer (hand written on the back 15+35). NO OTHER COVER RECORDED FROM PALESTINE SENT THROUGH THE BRITISH OFFICE IN CORFU.

Levant Syria, French letter written in Alexandretta on 31/7/1857 and addressed to Mr Marcopoli in Alep. Transported to its destination by the French Post where received the blue linear seal "POSTE FRANCAISE D'ALEP". RARE EARLY MAIL ON WHICH THERE IS ONLY THE FRENCH LINEAR SEAL OF ALEP.

Levant Palestine, French office. Transatlantic cover sent from Jerusalem through the French office of Jaffa on 13/2/1868 to Hartford, Connecticut, USA. Via Alexandria (15/2/1868), Marseille (25/2/1868) and New York (11/3/1868). Franked for 1,20 Fr by 40c and 80ct Napoleon. CERTAINLY ONE OF THE FEW, THE ONLY MAYBE, KNOWN LETTER ADDRESSED IN USA WITH THE CROSS OF JERUSALEM POSTAL SEAL, USED IN THE FRENCH POST OFFICE. GREAT RARITY.

Lebanon Austria, cover sent from Beirut on 13/1/1859 to Wien, Austria, where arrived on 22/1/1859. The unpaid cover was taxed for 35kr in arrive. Nice and uncommon linear cancel of Beirut used (Cedar Cat fig. 3). SCARCE.
